“Some people turn sad awfully young. No special reason, it seems, but they seem almost to be born that way. They bruise easier, tire faster, cry quicker, remember longer and, as I say, get sadder younger than anyone else in the world. I know, for I’m one of them.”—Ray Bradbury, Dandelion Wine (via sylviatietjens)
If someone tells you a racist, sexist or homophobic joke, don’t get mad at them. Just tell them you don’t get it. Keep telling them you don’t get it until they are forced to explain why women/minorities/homosexuals are stupid/ect.
I was wearing jeans and a plain grey shirt. I was buying plain school supplies. Out of no where, a 5 year old kid comes up to me and goes “Since you like comic books, there’s lots of cool comic book stuff in the toy aisle!” and then his parent came by, apologized and dragged him away.
I just stood there for a full minute, wondering “How did he know?…”
I feel very let down by the lack of organic chemistry jokes re: Sterek on tumblr. Stiles is always in chemistry class; “sterics” are an actual very important thing in chemistry; the SN2 reaction was described by my teacher ad nauseum as the “back-side attack:” all of these things should, at the very least, add up to a pun or two. So much opportunity gone to waste. ;A;
